Gombe – Bauchi Federal road has been cut off in the morning of Sunday 13/08/2023 as a result of torrential rainfall.
The incident happened in Kalajanga village, Bara ward in Kirfi Local Government Area of Bauchi State where a big culvert was washed away by heavy downpour.
Also, commuters plying the road from Plateau to Bauchi, Gombe and Yola, are bearing the brunt of this terrible situation. Many of them were left stranded, while some motorists who were coming from Gombe axis turned back to Gombe and followed Dukku -Darazo road.
This has become a recurring decimal forcommuters from the North east community every rainy season for several years.
Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad pledged to provide all the needed support to the contractor handling the project to fix the road within a week.
Governor Bala said the corridor connect north east, northwest and north central.
