Date:

From Ahmad Mohammed Bauchi

Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State has extended an olive branch to his political opponents and urged them to join hands with the State All Progressive Congress APC administration, to move the state forward and to continue to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.
Abubakar made the call when he interacted with reporters after he was declared winner of the APC governorship primary election.
He said he knows its Allah that gives power, and he loves peace in the interest of peace he will reach out to all APC stakeholders to come together and join hands towards the development of the state.
Governor said “in 2015, I visited all the contestants immediately after the primaries to solicit for their support. Some of them agreed some later changed their minds, In Sha Allah I am going to do the same thing this time around. I have already started the move by talking to the elder brother of one of the contestants to make peace with all. It has never crossed my mind that I am not coming back as the Governor in 2019 because my party has done so well to win the confidence of the electorates in the state. Considering what we have done, I don’t have any political setback.”
The Governor then appealed to the entire members of the APC to once again demonstrate that the party is on ground in the state and is ever ready to return it to victory.
