Bauchi Governor celebrates 2years anniversary with OVCs

Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has organized a lunch for Orphans and Vulnerable Childrens (OVCs) to celebrate his second year anniversary in office, as Governor.

OVCs were drawn from orphanage homes and communities in the state capital where he, his deputy Bala Tela and wife Aisha together with the children at Ramat house Bauchi over the weekend.

The governor explained that the idea to organize the feast for the orphans was aimed at carrying them along and giving them sense of belonging.

He said the tradition over the years was that government officials and politicians converged to celebrate democracy days and anniversaries, saying his government decided to make the occasion differently this year to make the vulnerable children happy.

Governor Bala said the state government through the Bauchi State Orphans and Vulnerable Children Agency (BASOVCA) would continue to assist orphans and support them to be useful citizens of the society.
