The Bauchi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development SDGs Submit, has recognized Hon. Patience Ishaku Abbo for what it described as “her outstanding contributions to youth and women empowerment, exemplary leadership qualities, and tireless efforts as a bridge builder in the society.”
The ministry within the week also conferred the Sustainable Development Leadership Award of Innovation on her at an event attended by Dignitaries, Royal Fathers and Captains of Industries.
Hon. Patience, wife of Senator Ishaku Elisha Abbo, is well known for her leadership and commitment to empowering youth and women have made a significant impact, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
In her remarks, Dr. Abbo expressed gratitude to the SDGs for acknowledging her work and pledged to continue striving for human development.
She said; “This recognition is a testament to Dr. Abbo’s dedication to creating positive change in the society. Her leadership and commitment to empowering youth and women have made a significant impact, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which aim to promote peace, prosperity, and protection of the planet.
“The award also highlights the importance of innovative leadership in driving sustainable development and human progress.”
On its part, the Bauchi State House government said it continues to work towards achieving the SDGs, adding that Dr. Abbo’s contributions will undoubtedly play a vital role in shaping a brighter future for its citizens.
