Bauchi pilgrims to pay N1.4m for this year’s hajj

Date:

From Ahmad Mohammed Bauchi

The total sum of 1.4 76,328,91 million naira has been approved for this year’s pilgrimage for Bauchi State as against the over 1.5 million naira for last year’s hajj exercise.
Bauchi state Executive Secretary of the state Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abdullahi Magaji Hardawa stated this while briefing journalists in Bauchi.
He said the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has released the final Hajj fare for this year’s pilgrimage and the move was part of Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar’s support toward facilitating the hajj operations for the state contingents.
He stated that about 3,090 intending pilgrims are expected to perform the hajj exercise from the state.
Hardawa called on prospective pilgrims who earlier deposited above the approved fare, to go to the commission to claim their remaining balance, while those willing to perform the hajj operations in the state should strive to pay the amount before the deadline.
