following the arraignment of suspects of homosexuals in Bauchi January The Bauchi State Upper Shari’ah Court has discharged and acquitted two suspects of the alleged homosexual activities.The two suspects are Usman Sabo and Hafizu Abubakar

The Presiding Shariah Court Judge Barrister Aliyu Elyaqub in his judgment said they were discharged over inability Of the Prosecution counsel from Bauchi State Commission to prove his case with genuine evidence.

Barrister Aliyu said since there is no witness that saw the accused committing the alleged offense and the accused pleaded not guilty they were discharged under section 28 of the criminal procedure court of Bauchi State Sharia law 2001.

The two accused person in their separate response, thanked almighty Allah who set them free and pledged that they will never forgive or forget their enemies who put them in to the trouble.

Meanwhile, the Bauchi state Shari’ah Commission that file the suit January this year response over the judgment Commissioner of Bauchi State Hisbah Alhaji Jibrin Danlami Hassan said the commission has done its best in their effort to sanitize the society and to ensure justice for all.

He said the commission will meet to study the judgment before taking any decision over the judgment
