The FCT Minister, Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello, has approved the appointment Dr. Mohammed Ali Dan-Hassan as the substantive Executive Director of FCT Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (FCT-RUWASSA).
A statement from Head, Media and Publicity for FCT RUWASSA, Karo Sani Bala, which was made available yesterday to PeoplesDaily revealed that the appointment takes effect from October 7th, 2022.
It added that prior to the current appointment, Dan-Hassan, who was a Deputy Director (2013) in FCT Water Board, and Acting Executive Director, FCT RUWASSA (2020) holds Bachelor’s degree in Applied Geology (ABU, 1987); M.Sc. in Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology (Ile-Ife, 1993) and PhD. degree in Hydrogeology (FUTMX, 2013), Professional Certificates from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden and UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, Delft, Netherlands.
According to the statement, with three decades of field experience in Mineral and Water Resources, Sanitation and Hygiene sectors, Dan-Hassan is poised to demonstrate his dexterity in making impacts in ‘WASH’ and related sectors in the FCT.
It however disclosed that the Agency, is now to be addressed as FCT Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Directorate.
