Following the aspirations of politicians vying for governorship seat, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Gombe state, Alhaji Umar Bello has joined the 2019 governorship race.
While submitting his nomination form at the PDP party Secretariat in Gombe, Friday the aspirant told journalists that his intention to join the race was to ensure that if elected he will continue with the good programmes carried out by the incumbent governor, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo.
“As we all know the priority of Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo when he assumed office was education, health, agriculture and infrastructure development which every Nigerian will testify that, for me if elected I will build on his programme to make Gombe great,” he said.
According to him, his administration will not hesitate to empower youths who are known as the engine room of government.
He advised his supporters not to relent in handling their PVCs with care even as he said they can only vote candidate of their choice if they have Permanent Voters Card.
The aspirant who did not hide his feelings called on supporters to shun violence during and after elections pointed out that without peace there will be no meaningful development.
