National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Umar Ganduje has sued for unity amongst the party in Benue State.
Note that the party has been in conflict between its leadership and Governor Hyacinth Alia on one hand and with Caucus of the National Assembly with the Governor on the other.
The crisis led to recent call by APC National Assembly members on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene to save the party from collapsing under the Governor.
But speaking at the Commissioning of the remodelled State Secretariat of the party named as Tinubu House on Wednesday in Makurdi, the national chairman stressed that unity is the way the party can forge ahead and focus on development of the State
“Be united as it is the only way we can continue to forge ahead.
According to him, ‘APC is the custodian of a new agenda under President Tinubu, adding that the party is changing the narratives in Nigeria’.
“We have decided to make the party active hence we designed a blue print for all our offices from ward, local government, State and zonal levels must b functional. We are proud of Benue APC.
“Benue is home of APC. APC went on sabbatical leave but it is back in the State.
“Ofice of the Secretary to Government of the Federation, SGF occupied by your son Sen. George Akume is the backbone and chief implementer of government policies. The Governor a Reverend gentlemen, so simple and agreeable”.
