Benue/Ebonyi Conflict: Deputy Speaker commends Gov. Alia for peace

The Deputy Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly Danladi Lami has commended the State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia for restoring peace in the troubled Agila and Ezza communities of Benue and Ebonyi states respectively.
The Deputy Speaker said the Governor and his Ebonyi counterpart held meeting and agreed that the disputed land should not be trespassed by both sides, a development that has led to cessation of hostilities between the two (2) communities.
Hon Lami who stated this in Makurdi while speaking to newsmen, maintained that without peace, there cannot be any meaningful development.
She also, expressed readiness to initiate a bill that would take out-of-school girl-child off the streets and return them to the classroom.
The lawmaker, representing Ado State Constituency described her recent victory at the tribunal as a victory for the people of her constituency.
She also explained that other persons that would benefit from the bill will be children of fallen heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the sake of Nigeria.
