Benue: Federal medical centre lauded

The National President, National Union of Benue State Students (NUBESS), Orkuma Shinsima and the President of Minda Gender Group, Comrade Lubem Gbenda has lauded the acting Medical Director, Dr. Inunduh Msuega Peteru and the entire management Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi, for the health transformation agenda to improve the lives of Nigerians, especially Benue people.

Shinsima and Gbenda, who visited the hospital to inspect projects executed, praised the management of the hospital for what they called successful execution of laudable projects, describing them as remarkable achievements carried out, in line with the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Shinsima said: “I want to thank Dr. Peteru and his creative medical and none medical team for initiating good health policies and for providing modern medical equipment, in order to achieve the goals of the health transformation agenda for the benefit of all.

“A healthy nation is a wealthy nation; it has shown clearly that Dr. Inunduh Msuega Peteru is focused and deserves confirmation”.

On his part, the President of Minda Gender Group, Comrade Lubem Gbenda, said the host community is happy with the positive activities of the hospital management in its prompt response to medical issues especially as it affects the natives.

“We have heard many testimonies from the people; they have commended the activities of the federal medical centers in all the senatorial districts of Benue state. We are calling on the relevant stakeholders to see to it that the good works of the present management is given a boost”.

The Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr. Inunduh Msuega Peteru, while receiving the team, said all the staff at the hospital regarded the centre as their home, thereby putting in their best to deliver excellent services to the people.

According to Dr. Peteru, all the projects in the hospital have been completed to about 95 per cent level.
