The Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has donated six Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) to the Benue State Judiciary.
Four of the cars are for the Benue State High Court Judges while 2 of the cars are for the Judges of the Customary Court of Appeal Benue State.
Making the donation on Monday, Governor Alia said the vehicles are part of the resolve of his administration to ensure the welfare and effective service delivery of the Judiciary in the State.
Governor Alia commended the Judiciary for their services, urging them to do more to ensure that law and order are strictly maintained in the state.
Delivering the vehicles to the Judiciary on behalf of the Governor,the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and Public Order, Barr. Fidelis Bemsen Mnyim also appreciated the Governor for the gesture and requested the Judiciary to put the vehicles to good use for the benefit of the state.
He also thanked the Governor for promoting the rule of law particularly by granting autonomy to the judiciary in the state to perform optimally.
