The Benue State Government has expended a total of N25 million on 50 youths drawn from various Local Government Area for automobile training at Innoson Motors.
Special Adviser on Benue State Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Ken Achabo disclosed this yesterday to newsmen during an interaction with journalists.
Achabo said on completion of their training, automobile shops will be opened for them, adding that this will have multiplier effect on the State.
“We paid for two(2)persons in each of the 23 local government in the state for the training at Innoson Motors in Nnewi, Anambara State.
“They are altogether 50 Benue youths; two from each of the local governments and four extra. They will come back at the end of the training to set up automobile workshops in the state and train others”, Achabo said
Meanwhile, the special adviser also intimated that the state government through his office bought 90 vehicles at the cost of about N1billion for different classes of traditional rulers in the state incluing, 46 third class chiefs and 23 second class chiefs among others.
He added that his office has installed nine rulers since his coming on board nine months ago.
