Bishop Yohanna raises alarm over alleged plan to practice homosexuality in church

The Bishop of the United Methodist Church in Nigeria, John Wesley Yohanna has raised an alarm that a group of people serving under UMCN stood on their feet to encourage members to practice homosexual activities in the church.

He made this known while briefing Journalists in Gombe on Sunday.

He  said in 2019 the same motion was raised at the general conference that homosexual activities be legalized among members to practice but was not entertain.

According to him, he will not allow such thing to happen in the church “as Christians, we remain resolute and committed in our faith.”

He further revealed that those encouraging the practice of this act have misled members.

“I want to state categorically here that I remain UMCN Bishop in Nigeria and called on members to disregard such information as it is baseless”, he said.
