Bode George needs rehabilitation – Group

A socio-political body, Group of Concerned Lagosians (GCL), loyal to the immediate past Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has replied the former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George urging him to seek rehabilitation over his post traumatic stress arising from his stint in jail.

 George had on Friday described Obanikoro as a lunatic over his desire to seek justice and redress in the allegedly rigged governorship primaries of the PDP.

In a statement signed by Mr. Yinka Sotade, the group said that for the need to set the records straight, engaging Chief Bode George in an exchange of words would mean painfully indulging a man in desperate need of social rehabilitation after a traumatic stint in jail.

The statement reads in parts: “Indeed, there is nothing unexpected about the recent tantrums by Chief Bode George targeted at Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, considering the ignoble role he played in the fraudulent outcome of the Lagos PDP gubernatorial primaries. For whatever it is worth, it is to Chief Bode George’s credit that his family name is tainted and now constitutes a generational blemish as Nigeria’s leading metaphor for gross moral deficit, lack of integrity and public dishonor.

“As Chief Bode George embarks on his feeble attempts at painting a picture of Senator Obanikoro that exists only in his perverted imagination, let someone remind him that the post-traumatic stress disorder that comes with a time in jail would take more than just an unholy alliance with a pharmacist to heal.

“It is instructive to state here that not only is Senator Obanikoro properly raised in the best of Yoruba tradition, he owes a large part of his successful public service career to a childhood and education built on godly principles and sound moral values; qualities evidently lacking in the life of the man known as Chief Bode George.

“Senator Obanikoro in his entire life and public service career has never been accused, arrested or convicted for fraud whether at home in Nigeria or abroad. Senator Obanikoro has been happily and responsibly married for 34 years while Chief Bode George and his Man Friday, Seye Ogunlewe are known as serial wife abusers.
