A suspected member of the Boko Haram has been arrested by some residents in Argungu, Local Government Area of Kebbi State as one police officer and a man were killed yesterday in the area.
Peoples Daily gathered that two suspected members of the Boko Haram came out from bush on amotor cycle and started shooting people, killing a police man and a civilian, identified as Issa Danatag from Argungu locval government area of Kebbi state.
The incident, according to sources, happened around 7.00 pm yesterday, near Argungu Kebbi Home Savings.
The late police man was the securirty attached to the Bank while the other late person was just passing bye when he was shot.
People’s Daily could recall that last year, the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Mohammed Mera told some selected journalist in his Farm that Boko Haram members used to send him text messages and called him on phone that they would soon visit his domain.
Our correspondent also gathered that arrested member of the Boko Haram is under police custody interrogation as investigation is ongoing.
