BPE condoles former DG, Anyanwu over mother’s death

The Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Mr. Benjamin Ezra Dikki, has described the death of Mrs. Agnes Elugwu Anyanwu, mother of a former Director General of the privatisation

agency, Dr. Chris Anyanwu, as a great loss to the family, friends and well-wishers.

A statement by the Acting Head, Public Communications, Alex E. Okoh said that the condolence letter to the former DG which was conveyed to him at his Abuja residence by the Director, Post Privatization

Monitoring (PPM) Department, Mallam Ibrahim Kashim, who led a management team.

The statement quoted Dikki to have noted that the management and entire staff of the BPE were saddened by the demise.

The letter reads:”We were saddened with the news of the demise of your beloved mother, Mrs Agnes Elugwu Anyanwu, which sad event occurred on January 10, 2015.

“On behalf of the entire management and staff of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), I hereby extend our heartfelt condolence for the demise of your beloved mother. We have no doubt that her departure has left great pains in your heart, that of your family friends and well-wishers”, Dikki said, adding that the BPE family shares with him, this moment of grief.

He prayed God to “comfort the entire family, give them the fortitude to bear the painful loss and strengthen them at the moment,” adding that “death happens every day, but nobody gets used to it.”

Receiving the BPE delegation, the former Director General, Dr. Chris Anyanwu, said though he was devastated over his mother death, he was consoled by the visit of the BPE team.
