The Niger State Government has strongly condemned the recent abduction of pupils, expressing deep concern over the unfortunate incident.
Governor Mohammed Umar Bago blamed the school authorities for allegedly disregarding prior security warnings issued to them.
According to the government, security agencies have commenced a full-scale investigation and are currently engaged in a coordinated search-and-rescue operation to ensure the safe return of the abducted students.
The state government further assured the public that it remains in close contact with security formations and will continue to provide timely updates as the situation progresses.
