Nigerian Police Force has issued a nationwide directive mandating the immediate arrest of any police officer found offering unauthorized personal security services to Very Important Persons (VIPs).

The directive comes directly from the presidency, as part of renewed efforts to reform police operations and ensure proper deployment of personnel.

According to the directive, officers are to be reassigned to critical security duties rather than being attached to private individuals without official clearance.

The move aims to address the misuse of police resources and improve overall public safety across the country.

Authorities have emphasized that strict enforcement will follow, warning that any officer caught violating the order will face disciplinary actions. The police leadership also urged VIPs to comply with the directive and seek official approval through appropriate channels for any security arrangements.
