The National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was shut down abruptly on Thursday following the news of the demise of its Director of Administration, Dr. Abdulraif Adekunle Adeniji who was reportedly died in the hands of the kidnappers who abducted him since January 26.
The late Adeniji was said to have been abducted alongside his brother and his wife.
The brother’s wife was the first casualty after she was reported to have been shot on their way to the kidnappers hideout because she was not feeling well and unable to keep up with the pace of their abductors.
According to sources, despite collecting the sum of about N90 million ransom, the kidnappers went ahead to eliminate the deceased Director of Administration for yet to be ascertained reasons.
In the statement signed by the Deputy Director of Administration, Ubagha Abel, the offices of the party will remain closed till Monday in respect of the deceased administrator.
