Date:

In a bid to modernize Nigeria’s tax system, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has launched a training program in Lagos.

The training with the theme ‘ Taxpayer data accuracy and improvement strategies for enhanced revenue generation’ in collaboration with Conceptual Limited, is aims to improve the accuracy of taxpayer information by leveraging technology and data analytics.

Ms Julia Chigbue, representative of Conceptual Limited said training directly addresses the issues of inaccurate and incomplete taxpayer data, which often lead to tax evasion and a smaller tax base than there should be.

Chigbue stressed that by focusing on data accuracy, the FIRS hopes to increase revenue generation and ensure that everyone pays their fair share of taxes.
