Prominent leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and that of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are currently holding a crucial meeting in Abuja.
The meeting, which is holding at the residence of Senator David Mark, the ADC National Chairman, in Apo legislators’ quarters, has in attendance the PDP leaders including; Governor of Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde, former governor of Niger state, Alhaji Babangida Aliyu, PDP National Chairman, Tanimu Turaki, Prof Jerry Gana, PDP National Secretary, Ambassador Taofeeq Oladejo Arapaja, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong and other members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
From the camp of the ADC were; Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Rotimi Amaechi, former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami, Senator Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi among others.
The meeting is believed to a re-alignment ahead of the 2027 general election and also to counter the move by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to frustrate the opposition parties in the 2027 elections.
