Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has received high praise from the Supreme Council for Shari’ah in Nigeria for his administration’s strides in promoting peace, ensuring safety, and driving impactful reforms. During a courtesy visit to the Governor at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, the Council, led by its Vice President, Dr. Bashir Aliyu Umar, commended the state’s commitment to equitable governance and citizen-focused development.

In their remarks, the Council lauded the Kaduna State Government’s adoption of policies aimed at improving the lives of the people. They highlighted the administration’s alignment with the Nigeria Governors’ Forum’s (NGF) resolutions on the Tax Reforms Bill, which seeks to create a fairer and more efficient taxation system across the country.

“The Kaduna State Government’s vision for equitable taxation and its peace-building efforts are commendable. Your administration continues to demonstrate a deep commitment to the safety and welfare of the people,” Dr. Bashir said.

Governor Uba Sani, in response, expressed gratitude for the Council’s support and acknowledged their critical role in reshaping the justice system and fostering harmony in society. The Governor also reflected on his legislative contributions, citing the successful passage of the Banking and Other Financial Institutions Act (BOFIA) 2020, which he spearheaded during his tenure in the Senate.

“Our administration is deeply committed to unity, fairness, and justice. We are building a government that listens, responds, and prioritizes the needs of its people,” Governor Sani stated.
