Breaking: Uba Sani Joins Presidential Economic Inclusion Board

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has been inaugurated as a member of the Governing Board of the Presidential Committee on Economic and Financial Inclusion, representing the Northern region.

The inauguration which has just been performed was by Vice President Kashim Shettima,, who chairs the committee.

The board, which includes key figures such as the Minister of Finance, the Governor of Enugu State, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy; the National Security Adviser, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, and a private sector representative, is tasked with driving Nigeria’s financial and economic inclusion initiatives.

With millions of Nigerians still excluded from formal financial systems, the committee aims to expand access to banking, credit, and economic opportunities nationwide.

The Technical Adviser to the President on Economic and Financial Inclusion serves as the board’s secretary.

Governor Uba Sani, known for his pro-people governance, reaffirmed his commitment to making Kaduna a model for financial inclusion. He announced plans for massive sensitization campaigns to educate citizens on the benefits of financial inclusion while establishing a sustainable framework to integrate it into Kaduna’s long-term development strategy.

As financial inclusion becomes a pillar of Nigeria’s economic transformation, Governor Uba Sani’s presence on the board is expected to amplify Northern Nigeria’s voice in national economic planning, ensuring that policies address the region’s unique challenges and opportunities.
