BREAKING: Venue of Nafiu Gombe’s ADC convention deserted
The Moshood Abiola National Stadium slated to host the national convention of the Nafiu Bala Gombe’s faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) today, has remained deserted with no sign of any delegate.
The faction had slated April 21, for its national convention ar the stadium in Abuja. However, the designated venue showed no signs of activity as at Tuesday evening.
The complex remained deserted at the expected start time, with no delegates or party officials present. There were also no visible preparations at the venue, while major sections of the facility, including the velodrome, were locked.
The faction is laying claims to the leadership of the party, and is challenging the David Mark leadership of the party in court.
There has been no official statement from the faction on the absence of delegates at the convention venue or if there was change of venue.
