Buhari: APC closes National Secretariat as flags fly at half-mast

In honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday announced the closure of its National Secretariat in Abuja.

In a statement, the National Publicity Secretary (NPS) of the party, Barr. Felix Morka said the directive was given by the Acting National Chairman of the APC, Hon. Bukar Dalori.

Morka stated that normal operations will resume at the Secretariat on Thursday; after the burial which has been postponed till Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the mood at the party office has been very sober as staff were seen in batches discussing the passing of the former President.

“The All Progressives Congress (APC) announces the closure of its National Secretariat in Abuja in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

“As directed by the Acting National Chairman of our great Party, Hon. Bukar Dalori, the Party’s National Secretariat will be closed starting today, Monday, July 14 and will reopen on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

“We urge Party faithful to use this period of national mourning for quiet reflection and prayers for the repose of the soul of our departed leader”.

The late President Buhari died in a London hospital barely two years after leaving office.
