President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the family of Dr. Ali Ahmed Pantami, Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), over the loss of his mother, Hajiya Amina Ali Ahmed.
President Buhari extended condolences to the government and people of Gombe State over the passing away of the matriarch of the Pantami family, who during her years on earth epitomised compassion and wisdom.
The President, in a statement made available to newsmen by his Senior Special Assistant on media and publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, also mourned the death of Chief Ignatius Nicholas Akobundu of Ugorji, Isiala Mbano, Imo State.
Buhari commended the late Chief Akobundu, 77, for his resourcefulness and visionary leadership, working assiduously and selflessly for the development of Imo State and unity of the nation.
Chief Akobundu is the father of Princess Gloria Akobundu, the Chief Executive Officer/National Coordinator of NEPAD.
Buhari prayed that God will grant the departed souls a peaceful rest, and comfort the families they left behind.
