President Muhammadu Buhari has named the Agbor railway facility and station on the Warri-Itakpe rail line after former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
The Agbor Station which is the largest station, is one amongst other stations on the Itakpe-Warri standard gauge rail line.
The Minister of Transportation, Hon. Chibuike Amaechi said this on Saturday during a test-run of the new coaches on the completed Itakpe-Warri standard gauge rail line.
According to him, “This is the Goodluck Jonathan Agbor Station which incorporates the railway facilities”.
He however noted that the Station was not recently named. “It was named a long time ago after Goodluck Jonathan and the President approved it.
“Agbor station, the yard and the railway facilities were named after president Jonathan”, he ended.
The Minister expressed satisfaction with the quality of work that has been done so far on the line, adding that the contractors, both Julius Berger, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation(CCECC) and the Consultant TEAM have all done a good job.
