Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has charged the newly appointed Revenue Board Chairman to come up with new strategies for improved revenue generation in the state.
The Governor suggested that remittance of all revenues collected into government coffers will fund government projects and programmes.
Governor Buni made the remarks in Damaturu on Monday at the swearing-in of the new Chairman of the Board of Internal Revenue, l at Government House, Damaturu.
“You should work towards improving revenue generation, block all leakages, and ensure remittance of all revenues collected into government coffers to fund government projects and programmes.
Governor Buni described the appointment of the revenue board chairman as a milestone in the journey of the state towards improved revenue generation and self-sufficiency.
