CAF Confederation Cup winner to receive $1.25 million prize

The winner of the 2021 CAF Confederation Cup will pocket home $1.25 million prize money, Confederation of Africa Football, CAF, has announced.
Raja Club Athletic of Morocco will battle Jeune Sportive de Kabylie of Algeria in the finalthis Saturday.
Raja is playing their second Confederation Cup final, having won the title in 2018.
JS Kabylie are playing the Confederation Cup final for the first time in their history.
The match will be played on Saturday 10 July. Kickoff at 19:00 GMT
The final will be held at Stade de l’Amitie, General Mathieu Kerekou in Cotonou, Benin.
“Besides the CAF Confederation Cup Trophy, the winners will get the prize money of 1.25 million US $. They will have a place in the 2021 CAF Super Cup where they will face the winners of the 2020-21 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League,” CAF said on their official website.
CAF noted that five substitutions for each team are allowed, with nine players on the bench.
If the 90 minutes of regular time end in a draw, 30 minutes of extra-time will be played. An extra substitution is allowed in extra-time.
If there is no winner after the extra-time, penalty shootout will take place to determine the winners.
The video assistant referee (VAR) system will be used in the final.
Enyimba were the only Nigeria Club that qualified for the knockout stage were they lost to Egyptian Pyramid FC in the quarter-final.
