Nigeria Women’s Football League, NFL Champions, Edo Queens came from behind to defeat the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in the CAF Women’s Champions League last Group B match on Saturday.
The South Africa power house, Sundowns took the lead early on, leaving Edo Queens trailing with only minutes left on the clock. However, in a remarkable turn of events, Edo Queens scored two incredible goals in additional time to secure their spot in the semifinals.
The goals came from Emem Essien and second-half substitute Mary Mamudu, both finding the back of the net in stoppage time.
This thrilling finish not only clinched the victory but also allowed Edo Queens to top Group B with 7 points.

Edo Queens FC will face DR Congo’s TP Mazembe in the semifinals, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting clash.

Edo Queens finished top of Group B with seven points from three games.
Egyptian side FC Masar finished as runners-up in the group.
Moses Aduku’s side will face TP Mazembe of Congo Democratic Republic in the semi-final.
Hosts AS FAR and FC Masar will clash in the other last four tie.
