The Citizens Arise Movement of Nigeria (CAMN), has described the ceasefire agreement reached by the Federal Government and the Boko Haram insurgency group as another phase in the series of lies allegedly emanating from the Presidency since the kidnap of over 200 girls in Chibok local government area (LGA), in Borno state, in April this year.

another obvious lie.”

He said that the rally was aimed at protesting the failure of government to respond to certain issues, even after about a week since its deadline for the said responses elapsed. “Recall that on of September 30, 2014, CAMN had during its inauguration, given the Federal government two weeks ultimatum to respond to certain fundamental issues, including the arrest of suspected terror leaders in Nigeria, as well as top government functionaries indicted of corruption, among others.

The group called on the Nigerian Government to reiterate its stand against corruption by handing over corrupt officers and making its fight against insurgency, worthy of Nigerian’s trust.
