There was a celebration galore yesterday for Kaduna residents, supporters of All Progressives Congress (APC), friends and families of Kaduna governor-elect, Senator Uba Sani, and the deputy governor-elect, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, were presented certificates of return.
The headquarters of the INEC office was jam-packed with residents who wanted to be part of the August celebration, making the security personnel having the difficult task of controlling the crowd.
The arrival of senator Uba Sani, the deputy governor-elect and all the elected members of the state assembly signal commencement of the occasion.
The National Electoral Commissioner in charge of Kaduna, Plateau, Nasarawa and the FCT, Mohammed Haruna, presented the Certificates of Return to the Governor and Deputy Governor-elect while the Administrative Secretary of INEC, Kaduna State, Mohammed Ahmad Mashi, presented the Certificates of Return to the 29 elected State House of Assembly Members.
In his speech after receiving the certificate, the governor-elect, promised to work for all Kaduna state citizens irrespective of party, religion or ethnic affiliation.
He also said his administration would operate an open door system with a hearing ear for positive advice from the citizens.
From the venue, the governor-elect moved to the ancient Murtala Mohammed Square hall, which was filled up with party supporters.
He used the opportunity to thank all APC and Kaduna State people who have stood by him from the beginning of his aspiration to the conclusion. He assured that it’s time for a work plan for sustainable progress in the state.
