National Ear Care Centre (NECC) Kaduna in collaboration with Med-El, a hearing implant company had conducted cochlear implant surgery on two patients who had totally lost hearing.
The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the NECC, Dr Mustapha Abubakar-Yaro disclosed this during a press conference held in kaduna yesterday.
According to him the patients operated on were a six years old boy and 46 year old woman who had totally lost hearing.
He added that the Centre initially made provision for the surgery for four patients but did only two and shifted the others to another date.
