The group #BringBackOurGirls movement yesterday expressed deep concern over the recent attack in Damboa, a suburb community in Chibok, saying “in spite the situation, we shall still move forward until the girls are back.
The group stated that this, during the Day 82 sit-out at Unity Fountain in Abuja, saying they will not relent in our campaign until are the abducted girls are rescued.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the Former minister for Education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili emphasised that “The Group has rededicated their commitment, no matter what it takes, to stand up for the abducted girls. The movement is moving
forward and united until our girls are brought back alive”.
Ezekwesili added that “they cannot assassinate me; my character stands out; until those school girls are back, we’ll continue with our advocacy. We have put a mat on our wounds, pretending every time,
covering the wounds; we have built on new wounds and the nation is wounded and afflicted”, she said, adding: “If we I want to be a politician, it is within my right. We have to get a closure of the wound because of the Chibok. I will stand for the abducted girls until they are back are back and alive”, She stated.
Similarly, another member of the group, A’ishat Yusuf, said, “This is crime against humanity; this is no attitude of an Ismalic person. We preach peace, love and education. That is wickedness. No matter, we will continue to move forward and standing up for the Chibok girls, until they are back, alive and rescued.
