Investigation round the state capital revealed that most of the churches visited by our correspondent shows that many of them complied with the safety measures of the state government.
At HEKAN CHURCH Katsina Road temperature of worshipers were taking from the gate and they were advised to wash and sanitize their hands in the facilities provided and worshipers without face masks were given. .
Speaking during the sermon , the President, HEKAN Rev Amos Kiri said the three months lockdown has not been easy with the church and Nigerians as a whole.
He expressed his appreciation to the government for relaxing the lockdown, saying without mincing words, the people have learnt great lessons that we will live with them for the rest of their lives “We learnt that God’s sovereignty is unquestionable.
That God is still the same as yesterday, today and for evermore in his love towards us. “We learnt that the end time signs are more vivid than before- Jesus is coming soon.
“We learnt who are really our friends and who are just pretending to be friends.
“We learnt the importance of planning ahead and We learnt that in every situation and problem, God has a perfect solution, “ he said.
Similarly, the Resident Pastor of Living Faith Church Katsina Road, David Tarve said the church made provision for hand washing , sanitizer and the church was fumigated after the first service.
“Members who are not putting on masks are not allowed from the gate and the sitting arrangement observed the social distance rules, “he stressed.
In the same vein, the General Overseer of House of Purpose Ministry U/Sunday in Chikun Local Government Area, Apostle Yakubu Yusuf encouraged members to observe safety measures.
Temperature of worshipers were taken before being allowed into the church.
Apostle Yakubu Yusuf expressed dismay that some Nigerians even believers are still doubting the reality of coronavirus.
“ As your pastor I wish to inform you that COVID-19 is real, pastors, politicians, doctors and what have you are dying of it.
“So be careful of where you visit and people you mingle with,” he advised.
