A renown Islamic leader in Nigeria based in Abuja Nigeria’s capital City, Imam Nura Khalid has hailed the various arrangements put in place by the Federal Capital Territory Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board (FCT MPWB), both at home and in Saudi Arabia towards attaining a Hitch free Hajj rites by the pilgrims.
The clergyman stated this while answering questions from Voice of Nigeria in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia on how to perform an acceptable Hajj Mabrur by the Pilgrims.
Imam Khalid noted that this year’s arrangements is one of the well coordinated arrangements he has observed because of the commitment shown by the FCT Administration and in particular the FCT Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board over the years.
According to him “ This is one of the most good preparation, the nicest preparation I have observed because of the commitment shown by the FCT Administration and in particular, the FCT Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board.”
He also commended the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), and Saudi Ministry of Hajj for introducing a new policy of syndicating the Pilgrims into groups so that they will be well organized while performing the Hajj rites in Saudi.
According to him, “They have make a very important arrangement and especially the preparation made by NAHCON and Saudi Ministry of Hajj, this year there’s a new system of syndicating the Pilgrims into groups so that they will be very well organized so we hope the organization of this year Hajj is going to be a unique one.”
Speaking on the country’s expectations from the Nigerian Pilgrims in view of the current economy reality and security challenge confronting the country, Imam Khalid said the proper way to tackle the current unexpected and unpleasant challenges facing Nigeria is being spiritual.
The clergyman hinted “ I think we have not try and utilize properly in tackling the issue of the unexpected unpleasant challenges that are facing Nigeria is being spiritual and that is why it is important for the Pilgrims to pray more and we are going to guide them on how to pray more for Nigeria.
“ This is one of our duty as ulamas to remind them, to guide them, to show them how to pray for Nigeria because we know the importance of having a very successful country”.
