As Christians celebrated Christmas yesterday, the Reverend of Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) Central Area, in Abuja, Rev. John A.Ibrahim has called on Christians to ensure peace even as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Speaking yesterday at a Christmas service, Rev Ibrahim, who drew his message from the book of Isaiah 9:6 said “God gave us his son who brought peace to the world and true religion that brings peace and ends every war.”
Rev. Ibrahim urged all citizens to use the season to preach peace and to love one another by uniting together as a nation to combat terrorism.
He called on Christians not to lose the spiritual significance of Christmas, while celebrating their royalty by giving their totality to God.
“As we promote peace and celebrate the birth of Christ “the entire looking for peace, Nigeria is in dire need of peace and we all need to turn to God for perfect peace in this nation”.
“As we continue to pray for the peace of nation as the 2015 elections is near, political leaders should depend on God, for any leadership position,” the cleric stressed.
