Chief Imam of United Muslims Brothers and Sisters Society (UMBS), Kaduna branch, Sheikh Suleiman Ola Mohammad, yesterday, tasked Muslims to forget their ideological differences and work towards their unity.
He said despite their ideological differences, what binds Muslims together are important.
The Chief Iman was speaking as a guest speaker at the 90th Commemoration anniversary and Merit Awards Presentation of the Jama’atul Islamiyya of Nigeria, Kaduna branch, held in Kaduna.
He also tasked Muslims to always respect leaders irrespective of their origin and background.
“There is no way we cannot be different in our ideologies; we can be ideologically divided but there os one basic thing that binds us together, which is unity.
“We offer Zakkat at the right time, no ideology can change that, we do our fasting as the same time, no ideology can change that, we have our Iman, faith towards Allah and his Prophets, no ideology can change that. We can only differ in our lifestyles which are our cultures.
In his remarks, the District Head of Doka, Alhaji Bala Muhammad Tijjani called on Muslims to always make their contributions towards promotion of Islam.
