The Secretary of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church aka Fountain of Grace, kawo kaduna , Apostle Reuben Salawu, has enjoined Christians in the State to as part of their God-given responsibility, intensify prayers and support for Government at all levels.
He stated this during the 2020 Adult Harvest Thanksgiving service held in kaduna yesterday.
The Clergy noted that the relative peaceful coexistence witnessed in Country was largely a result of prayers and urged the Christian community not to relent in the same.
“We must accept it as out duty to pray especially for our leaders for God’s continued guidance and wisdom in taking the right decisions that would better our lot.
“Thank God we’ve realised that all the segregation and differences would not take us anywhere as such let’s support the Government to help it realise her mandate,” he added.
Earlier, Pastor Rotimi Durodola in a sermon at the occasion admonished Christians to posses the virtue of a teachable heart, always accommodating God’s word and instructions.
Pastor Rotimi who quoted from Matthew 13:3-23 said should re-examine their own lives so that they will experience glorious hearvest, adding, “we must ask ourselves whether our hearts are goo ground for God’s word to find expression”.
Also, Apostle Pastor Gbenga Olufayo who also was Chairman of the Hearvest Committee said the essence of the annual occasion was to specially thank God for a successful bumper hearvest for the year and offer prayers ahead of next year.
“We have every reason to give thanks to God for sparring our lives throughout the year 2020 and for the great successes recorded in it.
“Although, 2020 has been a challenging year especially with the experience of the dreaded COVID-19 and pockets of crisis here and there but God in His infinite mercies has seen us through,” he said.
The occasion attracted unprecedented turnout of members from the local assembly and visitors from within Kaduna.
Also, songs rendition and special prayers were offered for families, the church, the State and the Nation at large.
