Cleric warns security agencies against partisan politics

The National Chairman of Nigeria Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa‘Iqamatis Sunnah, Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau has called on the Nigerian security agencies not to allow politicians to use them and burn this country.

He made this call yesterday, at the closing ceremony of three-day national campaign and seminar on ‘Unity, Security and Development’, held at the Birnin Kebbi stadium, adding that the persistence of government, using the Nigeria security in killing and harassing innocent people, is too alarmists.

He further pointed out that the securities that were supposed to protect the image of the masses were been used by the government and some aggrieve politicians to destroy the peace and harmony been enjoyed in Nigeria.

‘’Can’t you see how government is using police and soldiers to kill people and embarrass people, it is barbaric and a way of destroying the two religion’’ he added.

Lau who explained that the Boko Haram members were not a Muslims, because the religion did not preach that they should kill their fellow brothers, urged the federal government to do everything possible to curtail this menace.

He admonished all the northern traditional Muslim rulers tost and up and fight this cause and ensure peace in the north. At the occasion were the chairman kebbi state traditional rulers council and Emir of Gwandu, Maj. Gen. Eyali Bashir (rtd), Emir of Arugungu and the Speaker, Federal House of Representative  and other prominent religious leaders from Mali, Niger Republic, Ghana and other African countries.
