Coalition commends Benue Rep. member for upholding rule of law

A group known as Coalition of PDP Youths in Enone comprising Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal constituency of Benue State have thrown their weight behind the House of Representatives Member of the constituency Hon. Philip Agbese for upholding the rule of law.
The group at a press conference in Makurdi on Tuesday, lauded Agbese for speaking against the suspension of elected local government chairpersons by Governor Hyacinth Alia’s government.
Recalled that recently, Hon. Agbese, who is the deputy chairman of the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Media and Publicity,lowered the portrait of Governor Alia in his office at the National Assembly, an action that has elicited public uproar.
The coalition’s leader Dan Atayi applauded the action as a demonstration of love for the rule of law and constitution of the Federal Repubmic of Nigeria by the rep member in kicking against the illegal suspension of local government administration in Benue State.
According to Atayi, “Agbese’s action was based on what he termed Alia’s ‘disrespect’ for the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the rule of law.
“We, youths of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from his Federal Constituency of Benue State, commend Chief Agbese who is a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for standing for the rule of law and speaking against the suspension of elected local Government Chairpersons in Benue State, whom are members of the PDP.”
