College cautions new students against examination malpractice

The Provost, Federal College of Education (FCE), Gidan-Madi in Sokoto State, Dr Malami Muhammad has cautioned the newly admitted students into the school against examination malpractice and other anti social behaviours.
He told the 342 new students that anyone caught would be suspended or expelled.
The Provost gave the warning on Wednesday during the 4th matriculation of the college, held in Gidan-Madi, Tangaza Local Government Area.
The Provost said they must face their studies and abide by the rules and regulations of the college.
”This college has zero tolerance for exam malpractice, immorality, indecency, as well as other social vices in campus, if you are found guilty of any of these vices you will be suspended or expelled.
“You have come here to study and prepare yourself for a greater tomorrow, pay serious attention to why you are here.
“We extol obedience, sincerity humility, perseverance, and hard work. You are to be guided by these attributes as professional teachers in the making,” he said.
Muhammad said the students were admitted into the two schools of Science Education and Vocational, Technical Education.
He said that the school plans to open the school of social sciences and that of arts, to admit more students.
The Provost commended President Bola Tinubu for his support to the college, which has led to improved academic activities, admission and course accreditations.
The College’s Governing Board’s Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Adamu, congratulated the newly.admitted students and urged them to consider their admission as a great privilege.
“Many applied, but few were admitted. The rigorous process you have undergone to gain admission was not easy, so, you have to celebrate and rejoice as today’s event crowns the end of your admission process and enrollment into the institution, ” Adamu said.
Our Correspondent reports that no fewer than 342 new students took the matriculation oath during the ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The event was attended by th District Head of Binji, Alhaji Usman Dansarki, the School’s Registrar, Mr Mukhtar Sani-Balle, Bursar, Mr Ruskuwa Sahabi, Librarian, Mr Isa Abubakar,  Deans and Directors, among others.
