The most senior chief (Okparan-Uku) of Owa-Alizomor in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, Elder Jonathan Ebeh, has condemned the vandalisation of the high tension cable at the Owa-Alizomor Secondary School in the locality.
Elder Ebeh dropped the condemnation in an interview with newsmen at his residence in Owa-Alizomor on Sunday
According to the chief, the entire community had been in shock over the unwholesome act, adding that it was the handiwork of children of darkness, just as he frowned at it, saying that it was against the infrastructural development of the area.
He observed that the community had experienced positive infrastructural transformation since the inception of the Okowa administration in the state.
“We have experienced great development in different areas since our son Okowa became Governor of Delta State. Now, we have a modern Market, a good road network and a good number of our children have been taught different skills.”
“These and many more have been our expectations, not the vandalization of cable which is a setback. The people have been praying that Government should redeem its promise of renovating the school, but now, the worst has happened,” he lamented.
