The Director General of Nigerian Copyright Commission, Dr. John Asein has called for more stakeholders’ collaboration in achieving the aims and objectives of the commission as contained in the Copyright Act.
Asein, who made this known in Abuja Tuesday at the event of “Kongi’s Harvest: A wole Soyinka at 90” with special focus on “Wole Soyinka, Expanding the Korea-Nigeria Literature Partnership” organized by Aroja Royal Theatre in collaboration with Korean Cultural Centre, Nigeria (KCCN) stated the need for stakeholders’ support to enable the Commission achieve its set goals.
Continuing, he said he was more than delighted that the media was interested in the resolve of Nigerian Copyright Commission achieving its objectives.
Asein who chaired the occasion, while responding to a call by a speaker for more funding for NCC to perform maximally, informed that more than funding, the commission needs more synergy from stakeholders’ and Nigerians alike.
His words, “I must thank the speaker that called for more funding for the Commission, I think is also an endorsement and acknowledgement of the little we are able to do. It shows their clear belief that we can do more with more funding.
