Coronavirus: Gov. Yahaya inaugurates palliative C’ttee

Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has inaugurated a 38 man committee to handled the affairs of palliative distribution to the public.
Performing the function at the weekend at Government House chamber the governor said the committee were carefully selected based on credibility to handle the distribution of palliative to the people.
While appreciating the people of the state for their compliance during the lockdown period governor Yahaya assured government commitment to serve people for the better.
He said the 38 man committee which will be headed by the Emir of Gombe Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar will go along way in putting the state first inorder to benefit the people.
According to him, government is working tirelessly to ensure the safety of the people by putting measures to avert the pandemic known as COVID-19.
He appealed to the people to always follow government directives and shun large gathering as well as social distancing to avoid the spread of the disease.
He said for those tested positive government will do everything it could to see that they go on treatment in good time.
He advise that residents should wash their hands with soap regularly doing so will help in eliminating the disease.
While appreciating donors for their effort to support government with commodities to fight against the pandemic governor Yahaya said we will do everything possible to address the issue that bedeviled the society.
In his response the Emir of Gombe Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar who happened to be the chairman of the committee on COVID-19 palliative thanked governor Yahaya for finding them worthy to serve and assure that the committee will do it best to ensure that the palliative reached door step of beneficiaries.
