Coronavirus: Kebbi to commence e-learning for secondary, primary schools

Following the ongoing stay at home order adopted by the Nigeria government, the Kebbi State Government has concluded arrangements to commence the E-learning electronic home studies for both secondary and primary schools students in the State.
The programme which will be in collaboration with the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary School Education and the Ministry of Information Technology with aimed to support the children education at home and give them the best of learning.
Addressing journalists yesterday at the Ministry of Basic Education Alhaji Muhammadu Magawata Aliero said that the commencement of e-learning for primary and secondary school students at home is to assist the parents and make the children busy in aid of their academic performance.
“This development followed the closure of schools as a result of coronavirus pandemic outbreak across the world and to ensure the lives of the citizens are protected by the Governments and it will start on 10th April 2020,” he said.
The Commissioner also said the pupils/students would also be taught via Television and Radio Stations to keep them active on academic activities.
Also speaking, the Hon. Commissioner in the Ministry for Information and Technology Alhaji Abdullahi Magoro said that the programme would keep the students active as large number of students would be captured under the programme.
