The National Union of Textile, Garment, and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria(NUTGTWN) has said the most enduring means to address the state of insecurity and crime in the country is through the mass creation of decent employment for the teeming unemployed youths in the country.
President of NUTGTWN President John Adaji disclosed this in his EID-EL-KABIR massage.
According to him, the level of unemployment in Nigeria is unacceptably high, saying it is worrisome for a country that is expected to be the world’s third most populous country by the year 2050, with over 300 million people, according to the United Nations.
He added that mass poverty and youth unemployment remains the root causes of insecurity in Nigeria.
Comrade Adaji explained that Textile Industry remains the key driver of sustainable jobs and development for most national economies of developing nations like Nigeria.
