Creation of Nasarawa brought govt closer to people -Gov aide

The Special Adviser to Governor Sule of Nasarawa State on government Mr. Samuel Egya said that the creation of the state 23 years back has brought government and development closer to the grassroots.
Samuel stated this in interview with our Reporter to mark the Nation’s Independence at 59 and Nasarawa 23 years of creation.
According to him “Nasarawa State was created principally to bring government closer to the people and to enhance development. I must give kudos to those who stood firm for the creation of Nasarawa State. Really with the creation, government has come closer to the people. Now people are participating in governance”.
His words “After the creation, we have witnessed more development areas. We have witnessed infrastructural, economic, education and human development in the state. We have more primary, secondary and tertiary institutions from 1996 to date. We have more rural and urban road network.
Egya further commended the past administrations of Governor Abdulahi Adamu, Late Aliyu Akwe and Tanko Almakura for their roles played in developing the state in all spheres this according to him “The administrators deserved kudos”.
Speaking on the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Sule, he opined that “God has given Nasarawa State a reliable and well experienced leader viewed from his records on ground within four months in office”.
“We have witnessed a tremendous achievements under Governor Sule in four months especially in the areas of education, youth empowerment, agriculture, health, rural road and electrification projects among others”. Samuel added.
He however admonished the people of Nasarawa State to give the desire support for the governor to deliver the dividend of democracy to the electorate as promised as well as called on Nigerians to pray for the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari in order to take the country to the next level of development.
