At least four people were yesterday confirmed dead when rival cult groups engaged themselves in a free for all fight at Idowa in Odogbolu local government area of Ogun State.
It was reliably gathered that three boys and a housewife were among those that lost their lives in yesterday’s attack.
It would be recalled that in the last three weeks, rival cult groups of Eiye and Aiye have been terrorizing Ijebu Ode and over 20 people have so far been killed.
It was gathered that a man, popularly known as ‘Epo’, was said to have been killed last night by some members of the Eiye cult group and in retaliation to the killing of ‘Epo’, three persons were killed including one woman, whose husband, popularly known as ‘Alapo-Iresi’ had ran away and was shot instead today.
The runaway man was said to be a member of the Eiye cult group, and one of the hit-man for the group in Idowa-Ala-Omu vicinity.
